Meet Your Coach

Hi, I’m Brandi!

I’m a Board Certified Health and Lifestyle Coach with a mission to support caregivers and patients navigating the challenges of dementia and cognitive decline. I believe lifestyle changes—nutrition, movement, stress management, and quality sleep—can be powerful tools for healthier living and preserving quality of life.

Why I Do This Work…

My passion for this work is deeply personal. I’m a caregiver myself and I’ve witnessed firsthand how cognitive decline doesn’t just affect the individual—it changes the lives of everyone who loves and cares for them. I’ve also experienced my own health challenges, brought on by years of stress, overcommitment, and burnout.

A few years ago, my health hit a wall. Severe pain and unrelenting fatigue forced me to slow down. Doctors dismissed my symptoms as “just part of getting older,” but I knew in my gut there had to be a better way. I learned how to advocate for myself, make targeted lifestyle changes, and address the root causes of my symptoms. I discovered that stress, poor diet, and lack of rest can take a toll not only on our bodies—but also on our minds.

For more than 15 years, I’ve worked with patients and families across healthcare, hospice, and wellness settings. I’ve supported people facing life-changing diagnoses, helped families navigate complex care decisions, and coached clients toward healthier, more balanced lifestyles. My professional experience has given me a deep understanding of both the medical and emotional sides of caregiving—and the unique challenges families face when dementia or cognitive decline enters the picture.

Through my personal journey and years of professional experience, I’ve seen how intentional daily habits can improve resilience, slow cognitive decline, and make caregiving more sustainable. My role is to walk alongside you—whether you’re a caregiver trying to preserve your own well-being or someone living with early-stage cognitive changes—so you can feel more supported, informed, and empowered.

I believe that while we can’t control every health challenge, we can influence how we live through it. And sometimes, having a guide makes all the difference.

4 Pillars of Health

Nutrition

Nutrition is the foundation of good health, fueling your body with the essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients it needs to thrive. A balanced diet helps boost your immune system, reduce the risk of chronic diseases, and support overall physical and mental well-being. Poor nutrition, on the other hand, can lead to fatigue, weakened immunity, and long-term health complications. By making mindful food choices, you empower your body to function at its best and maintain optimal energy levels.

Movement

We are not meant to be sedentary beings. Movement is essential for maintaining a healthy body and mind, improving circulation, flexibility, and overall strength. Regular physical activity supports heart health, helps manage weight, and lowers the risk of chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension. Beyond the physical benefits, movement boosts mood by releasing endorphins and reducing stress. A sedentary lifestyle, on the other hand, can lead to muscle stiffness, fatigue, and long-term health issues. Incorporating movement into your daily routine keeps your body vibrant and your mind sharp.

Sleep

Sleep is the body’s time to recover, repair, and recharge, making it essential for overall health and well-being. Quality sleep supports brain function, enhances memory, and helps regulate emotions, keeping stress and anxiety in check. It also plays a vital role in maintaining a strong immune system and balancing hormones that control appetite and energy. Chronic sleep deprivation can lead to serious health issues, including heart disease, weakened immunity, and impaired focus. Prioritizing restful sleep isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity for a healthier, more energized life.

Setting Boundaries

Setting boundaries is essential for protecting your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Healthy boundaries help you manage stress, avoid burnout, and prioritize self-care by ensuring your energy is spent on what truly matters. Without boundaries, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, taken advantage of, or drained by others’ demands. By confidently saying "no" when needed, you create space for rest, personal growth, and meaningful relationships. Remember, setting boundaries isn’t selfish—it’s an act of self-respect that ultimately benefits your overall health.
